Promega's 72,000-sf. headquarters was the first phase of a 350,000-sf. complex used for research and production of molecular biologicals. The facility contains research and development laboratories, a fermentation facility, and corporate offices. Modular laboratories support a broad variety of research within minimum modification.

A pleasant and efficient work environment was a top priority for the owner. Ribbons of glass allow natural light into the laboratory and office space. Offices are located directly outside the laboratories in an open office plan, while interaction areas, meeting rooms, and a library encourage informal technical discussion and socializing.
