Built in 1915, the Opera House is located in the Mineral Point Municipal Building. The two-story, 18,000 square foot building also houses the public library. The opera house features live performances and movies, and houses the Mineral Point Film Society and Shake Rag Players. Renovations to the Renaissance Revival-style building include code compliance, mechanical, electrical, audio and lighting upgrades, interior restoration, exterior repairs, adaptive reuse and decorative arts.
