SprintPrint, a small commercial printing company, prides
itself on creativity and attention to detail. With these characteristics
in mind, Strang designed a 6,000-s.f. new headquarters and
2,900-s.f. addition. Located along a busy highway, the facility's
imaginative design attracts the attention - and the business
- of passing motorists.
Working with a limited budget, Strang incorporated inexpensive
materials to create interesting details, provide texture and
establish a sense of permanence. To increase visual interest,
SprintPrint was designed as two rectangular elements constructed
with contrasting materials (masonry and brick) and varying
heights. The colored curvilinear entrance wall and canopy
structures soften the rectangular shapes of the building's
main body. |
