Foremost Farms is a dairy cooperative owned by about 3,000 dairy farmer memberships in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. Foremost Farms also manufactures and markets a variety of components for use in the research and pharmaceutical industry worldwide.

Strang designed the existing office building in 1980. The addition was designed to complement the award-winning success of the existing building. The first phase included construction of the 50,809-s.f. addition. Phase 2 involved the renovation of the original 26,954-s.f. building. Facility components include a milk-testing laboratory, microbiology and culture laboratories, applications laboratory and its associated demonstration room, training rooms, office space, cafeteria and exercise room. Additional amenities include a landscaped courtyard, restored oak savannah, and walking paths. The facility plans call for a future expansion.

Foremost's dynamic, light-filled, and vibrant office environments, laboratories and support spaces was designed and constructed to attract and retain employees, farmers and develop new avenues to market their product.
