This project involved relocating and converting the human resources department into a lounge for staff and visitors. The lounge has high visibility, located near the main entrance and a high traffic, main corridor. The client desired an enjoyable work environment with comfortable seating and impromptu collaboration areas. Inspiration sprang from the concept of “The Loft” because of the open environment. The goal of the lounge’s design is to create a fresh, contemporary, break-out space that draws people out of their work areas and into a social working environment when spontaneous meetings are necessary.
