Strang has provided architectural, engineering and design services for numerous projects at Madison College’s Truax, Downtown, Reedsburg and Commercial Avenue campuses.
These projects include: classroom additions, HVAC upgrades, animal barn addition and renovation, cosmetology lab remodel, data center remodel, parking improvements and faculty office addition and remodel.
Faculty Offices Addition and Remodeling
This project included a 13,000 square foot, two-story addition and interior alteration. Work included expansion of the faculty office space and relocation of a television studio.
The project included upgrades to the fire, plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems.
Truax Campus Expansion
Strang worked with Madison College to develop a 15,600 square foot, $1.5 million remodeling and addition to two of the main campus buildings. Work included expansion of administrative offices and the information technology department. Part of the project involved constructing a new second floor over the existing first floor cafeteria. Part of the Truax expansion project included a 1,270 square foot addition and 7,284 square foot
remodeling of administration building. It also included a 4,320 square foot classroom building addition, 7,145 square foot remodeling and HVAC upgrades.
Large Animal Facility Addition
Madison College required a 4,150 square foot expansion to accommodate animals for it’s Veterinary Technician program. The project also included enclosed exercise yards.
Data Center and Remodeling
Strang demolished a lower level cafeteria and constructed a two-story addition in its place. The project included at 1,200 square foot addition to the existing administration
building and modifications to existing screen walls.
Remodeling projects
Strang provided the design, cost estimating, scheduling, code compliance, and engineering oversight for these projects, which included 15 remodelings located at three
Madison campuses. This 8,000 square foot remodeling project involved office reconfiguration, lab remodeling, classroom expansions, and air conditioning of shop areas, as well as HVAC and plumbing design. Additional project components involve reducing exhaust system noise, improving indoor air quality and ventilation, and remodeling dental and food preparation facilities. A new 7,400 square foot vehicle storage building and loading ramp also were included.
Parking lot remodeling
Strang provided a number of services for this project including: conceptual planning/design, bidding, and construction administration services for improved visitor
and handicapped accessible parking. The project included installation of traffic control equipment with underground data/voice communications to the main parking office and
redirections of traffic flow. |
