Illini Tower is a privately owned, student housing facility at the University of Illinois. The building’s 22-year old dining and cafeteria was in need of updating. Today, chefs prepare a majority of the items as needed rather than estimating the quantity needed for a particular day. The day’s storage, including refrigerated cases, is conveniently located near the prep stations to minimize staff time in serving and replenishing.

The new look of cherry stained wood and granite is a continuation of the upscale motif completed in 2003 for the main entrance and client service areas. Our work at the 280,000 square foot Illini Towers Student Housing Unit involved an ADA evaluation, as well as student support area renovation, dining room expansion and remodeling, sprinkler system retrofit and fire alarm design.
