An initial
needs assessment resulted in a phased improvement
plan to address the space requirements of all the
city operations and departments including: administration,
fire, police, utilities, parks and recreation, youth,
streets, library and senior center.
Phase one involved the remodeling of an historic
1900 Romanesque city hall, as well as the public safety
and municipal utilities building. We added an elevator
shaft on the exterior of the building, and also reviewed
and addressed current and future parking needs. A
detailed construction schedule provided smooth relocation
of city departments without interruption of services.
A complete, two-step exterior masonry restoration
of the historic city hall structure included cleaning,
repair and tuck pointing of brick masonry and stone.
