UW Health Cross Plains Clinic
Cross Plains, WI
Cross Plains

The UW Health Cross Plains Family Medicine clinic project included a 3,400 square foot expansion and renovation to an existing 3,400 square foot clinic. Strang worked with staff to identify space needs, design aesthetics and consider various layouts for exam rooms. Other important considerations included adhering to UW Medical Foundation standards, as well as creating a latex-free facility and herbicide-free facilities and grounds. The original facility opened in 1977 and the clinic sees an increasing number of families each year, adding to the demand for larger and improved accommodations. The renovation not only accommodates existing staff and patients, it also aides in recruiting new patients and staff.

 The facility  improvements included:

  • New exam rooms.
  • Expanded space for nurses and physicians.
  • X-ray technology and laboratory.
  • A private room for physicians and families talk confidentially / nursing mothers.
  • A welcoming and comfortable reception area with a hospitality bar.
  • Additional handicap accessibility built into the bathrooms and radiology room.

UW Health Cross Plains Family Medicine clinic provides comprehensive health care for:

  • Infants.
  • Children and adults.
  • Obstetrical care from prenatal to delivery.
  • Routine gynecological exams.
  • Health assessments and physicals.
