Restoring Hope Transplant House
Middleton, WI
Hope House

The Restoring Hope Transplant House is a home away from home for recovering transplant patients who need to be close to the University of Wisconsin Hospital. The existing 5,000 square foot, two-story building was constructed around 1890. An addition was constructed about 30 years ago.

Strang has identified existing problems with the building materials, elements, plumbing, and electrical systems, and made recommendations for future remodeling and/or additions. After examining the building, we have provided a cost estimate to help prioritize projects and create the overall project scope.  The current house has 10 bedrooms with community bathrooms, and much of the rest of the house is in disrepair. Renovation plans provide 16 bedrooms - each with their own bath, a completely remodeled kitchen, and expanded community areas
